TEAM NEWS AS IST TEAM TRAVEL TO MEDBOURNE AND RESERVES HOST RUSHDEN & HIGHAM TOWN RESERVES IN COUNTY CUP

Khalsa look to inject some life into there season as the 1st team travel to Medbourne.
Team news sees the return to the fold of Andrew Cox, Lewis Everitt and Andy Wilson though they will have to make-do without David Sheridan and Callum Muir.
Even better news for the club is that Chris Caine returns to action after being injured for nearly three months.

Reserve Team to meet at Corby Rugby Club at 11:30am. Kick Off is 1:30pm.

First team to meet at 12:45pm to travel to Medbourne Kick Off is 2:30pm.

KHALSA WELL BEATEN IN COUNTY CUP

Khalsa were blown away int he first 45 minutes by James King Blisworth in the County Cup last weekend.
Despite early efforts squandered by Miller, Noble and Sheridan the away side put Khalsa to the sword with four goals in the first 45 minutes.
A further two goals were added in the second half by Blisworth as Khalsa had no response.

KHALSA RESERVES BEATEN BY LATE PENALTY

Khalsa were beaten by a goal in the last ten minutes to Nomads despite going a goal up when Steve McCabe smashed home a loose ball from a corner.
Nomads levelled before goin on to win the game with a penalty in the last five minutes.

TEAM NEWS AS FIRST TEAM PLAY IN COUNTY CUP AND RESERVES TRAVEL TO KETTERING NOMADS

Khalsa enjoyed a fairly low key training session on Thursday evening as both teams prepare for action.
The First Team entertain James King Blisworth in the County Cup whilst Khalsa Reserves will travel to Kettering Nomads with the game being played at Kennedys in Finedon.
Khalsa welcome back Danny Spencer, Darren Mann and Jaspal Saini to the fold but will have to make do without Andy Wilson, Gary Wilson and Andrew Cox
The reserves will have Junior Campbell missing however have Liam Bradley available again with new signing Bruce Calder in the squad aswell.
1st Team Squad:- Mann, Lindsay, Spencer, Malone, Carr(c), Mcluckie, Sheridan, Carvalho, Walker, Noble, Miller, Saini, Gasson.
Reserve Team Squad:- Murray, Park, McCabe, Morgan, Bradley, Mcpherson, Loughran, King, Brittain, Taylor, Watson, Burke, Josef, Calder

FIRST TEAM BEATEN BY MOULTON IN DIV. CUP

Poor defending cost Khalsa a place in the next round of the Divisional Cup as they went down 2-1 to Moulton.
Moulton scored as early as the fifth minute to take the lead.
However Khalsa equalised when Cox and Sheridan linked up for Sheridan to knock the ball over the advancing keeper to level the game.
With just having levelled Khalsa produced another poor defensive error for Moulton to go 2-1 up and end the scoring there.
Khalsa carved open three good chances in the second half but failed to find the net and bowed out of the competition.

Khalsa Reserves lost 3-1 despite going in front within the first few minute through a Junior Campbell strike
However the visitors proved too clinical to progress through to the next round of the cup

DIVISIONAL CUP ON THE MENU AS 1ST TEAM TRAVEL TO MOULTON AND RESERVES HOST HARPOLE

Khalsa enjoyed a good training session as preparation for the Divisional Cups.
The first team travel to Moulton and the reserves host Harpole Reserves at home.
Notable absentees from the squad sees Jazz Saini (ankle), Callum Muir (Jaw), Lewis Everitt(nose) Danny Spencer, David Burke (unavailable) and Long term absentee Dean Clark all missing.

KHALSA UNLUCKY AS WELDON HANG ON

Khalsa failed to beat league leaders Weldon after a poor first 25 minutes in which Weldon scored twice.
However with the visitors going down to ten men Khalsa pushed and scored a deserved goal via Andrew Cox with a stunning strike into the roof of the net.
Khalsa continued to push but the visitors pulled off the win to stay on top of the pile.

Khalsa reserves were well beaten by a very organised and slick footballing side Harborough Reserves.
The only bright spot being a brace from Victor Carvalho.

KHALSA RESERVES BOOK PLACE IN ROUND 2 OF LOWER JUNIOR CUP

Khalsa booked a place in the next round of the Lower Junior Cup with a 5-3 win over Oundle.
Steve McCabe grabbed a brace with Mark Watson, Dean King and Junior Campbell making up the five.
It could have been even better but Greg Taylor missed a late penalty.

KHALSA 1ST TEAM WELL BEATEN BY BRIXWORTH

Khalsa 0 Brixworth 5

HT 0-3

Khalsa paid for individual errors in a match played in terrible windy conditions.
Playing against the wind in the first half was tough and the home side duly took there chance with three goals.
The first a defensive mix up followed by a stunning second a free kick from 30yards with the third an error from a corner.
The second half saw Khalsa play some nice football but fall to two counter attack goals which effectively finished the contest.
Though Andrew Noble did strike a post and force a good save from the keeper.

TEAM NEWS AS RESERVES HOST OUNDLE TOWN RESERVES IN COUNTY CUP AND THE 1ST TEAM TRAVEL TO BRIXWORTH

Khalsa enjoyed a 26 man training session as final preparations were made for two tough fixtures for the 1st team and the reserves.
1st Team will have to make do without Dean Clark long term, due to injury sustained in County Cup game last weekend.
However the 1st Team squad sees Nathan Gasson and new signing Clive Morgan included in the squad.
Young defender Jamie Mcpherson steps up from the reserves into the squad too.
The Reserve squad welcome back Lewis Everitt into the squad with new signings Chris Forsyth and Junior Campbell also included.
