KHALSA READY FOR NEW SEASON AFTER A FINE WIN OVER NOMADS

Khalsa came through there final pre-season game with a clean bill of health as they look forward to the new season opener away to Premier champions Harpole next Saturday.
Khalsa went ahead after 20 minutes when Dave Sheridan free kick was knocked back across the box by Darren Malone for Tony Walker to fire home for 1-0.
Khalsa at times were on the end of some rough treatment from Nomads in tackles but responded well.
However Khalsa went two 2-0 up when young winger David Sheridan stabbed home a low shot under the keeper.
Nomads pulled one back when they cut down the right and a centre ball was converted for 2-1.
The second half saw numerous chances missed by Khalsa before Andrew Noble stepped up to curl home a 25 yard free kick that the keeper had no chance with to make it 3-1.
Fraser Ingham then netted for Nomads after some good work for 3-2.
The scoring wasn't finish there as Khalsa rounded the game off when a lovely move involving Sheridan, Clark, Noble was finished by Andy Wilson with a neat finish into the bottom right corner.

CARVALHO REPEATS THE LATE TRICK TO GIVE KHALSA ANOTHER WIN

Khalsa Reserves picked up a victory over Division 3 side Loco's.
The game which was very low key in the first half saw the second come to life when Gerry Burns chased down a long ball only for the Loco's centre half to handle giving Stephen Miller the chance to score from the spot, though the keeper got a hand to it. (See the strike in the Video Archive link)
However Loco's levelled the game within 10 minutes via the penalty after Murray was adjudged to have bought the loco's front man down.
Chances went begging at both ends but Victor Carvalho raced clear to slot home the winner after a nice reverse through ball by Gerry Burns set up the chance.
A good run out for the boys though plenty of work to be done to improve.

LAST GASP CARVALHO THE HERO AS KHALSA BEAT AC CORBY

Khalsa Reserves managed to grab the victory with a last gasp winner from Victor Carvalho to overcome AC Corby.
The winner being his second of the game after he set them on there way with the first.
A confidence boosting strike by the hard working Greg Taylor and a strike by Paul Brittain his second in two games the other scorers.
Credit to the visitors who worked hard throughout.

DIRTY BOOTS THE ORDER OF THE DAY FOR MALONE AS BILLY BREAKS HIS DUCK IN KHALSA RIOT!!!

Khalsa produced another quality performance to see off Earls Barton with an 8-1 win as they edge ever closer to the start of the 2009/10 season opener.
Though things didn't go all there way with the visitors matching Khalsa for the first 30 minutes.
However the floodgates opened in dramatic fashion with three goals in a five minute spell, the first a fierce drive by Dean Clark followed by an overhead kick and a header to make it 3-0 at the break by Andrew Cox.
The second half saw Tony Walker add a brace the second one a tap in after a great 6 man move.
David Lindsay scored just after the visitors had pulled one back by bundling home as the ball bounced up for 6-1.
Young winger David Sheridan then scored an individual goal by beating a couple of men before drilling in hard and low for 7-1.
Finally Billy Mcluckie stepped forward to control a corner, swivel and curl a lovely shot into the right corner to send the whole of the sideline into a celebration with his team mates though Darren Malone didn't look happy as he is now the proud cleaner of Billys boot for the whole of the 2009/10 season.

GOLDEN OLDIES STUN DAZ'S SUPERSTARS TO NAB THE KHALSA TOURNAMENT

The 1st annual Khalsa 5 a side tournament was won by rank outsiders the "Golden Oldies".
The group stages saw them come from 1-0 down to beat Daz's superstars 4-1 and draw with Jazz's boys 3-3.
The other game was a 4-2 win for Daz's superstar over Jaz's boys.
The final was a fairly loose affair with "The Golden Oldies" tactics of sitting tight and playing to the pace of Raggy repeated throughout the tournament working an absolute treat with Raggy notching a hat trick as Golden Oldies won 3-2 to lift the trophy and Raggy the top scorer of the tournament with 10 goals.
Notable some great goals scored on the day by Greg, Josef, Walks, Malone,Mattius and notably Raggy...its led to believe even Gee netted a couple though waiting for official confirmation on those strikes.
A great day with plenty of funds raised for the club with a BBQ and a few drinks to top the day off.

SEVEN OF THE BEST AS KHALSA PUT DANESHOLME TO THE SWORD

Khalsa put together there finest display of there pre-season campaign to date by coming from behind to hammer Danesholme.
Danesholme went in front via the penalty spot before Andrew Cox cut in from the left to fire home leaving the keeper rooted to the spot.
Dean Clark then stepped forward to volley home for 2-1 before the visitors levelled when Murray failed to hold a half volley.
Andy Noble then placed a smart half volley into the bottom left corner for 3-2 before Dean Clark pulled down a Noble cross on his chest and lashed home a left foot finish into the top corner to give Khalsa a well deserved 4-2 lead at the break.
Khalsa stepped up another gear when David Sheridan smashed home a low drive with again the keeper rooted to the spot.
Andrew Cox chipped home a nice lob for 6-2 before Dean Clark rounded off his hat trick with a low drive into the bottom left corner for 7-2 which made it seven goals in pre-season for him now.
Overall a stunning performance which was tarnished only with a knee injury to Ryan Turbett in the 25 minute.

Khalsa reserves showed that Tuesday's defeat was merely a one-off with a super 4-0 win over local side Corby Rangers.
Paul Brittain got them on the way with a long range strike before further strikes from Jordan Ware, Mattius & Gerry Burns saw the boys run out comfortable winners.

Khalsa continued pre-season prep with a 2-1 win over Stanion despite being below par for the initial 30 minutes.
Andrew Cox scored with his first touch after a nice back heel into him by Andrew Noble.
Ryan Turbett doubled the lead with a good header to give Khalsa a 2-0 lead at the break.

Second half chances went begging and Stanion pulled back a consolation to finish the scoring with Khalsa getting a good work out and the win.

KHALSA XI START PRE-SEASON WITH A WIN

Tony Duncan's boys opened up there first pre-season fixture with 3-2 win over Talisman.
Captain for the day Steve Mccabe finished home a loose ball for Khalsa from a well executed free kick from Dean King.
Talisman levelled from the spot after a Khalsa defender was judged to have handled for 1-1.
With the scores level at half time Khalsa made four changes at the break to see a renewed and fresh approach.
Skipper Mccabe then headed home from a corner for 2-1 before Graham Butler scored after good approach play for 3-1.
Even though "Judas Tony Walker" netted a late goal for Talisman Khalsa stood firm to net the win.

FC Khalsa were beaten by a single strike by the visitors in an entertaining game with both sides having opportunities.
BPW got there goal when the cross came back of the post for there player to knock the rebound in.
Stephen Millar forced a smart save from the bpw keeper with a free kick and Andrew Noble struck the post with a fierce free kick.

Khalsa enjoyed a comfortable win as the season start gets ever closer with the excellent Sheridan, Noble Walker(2) and Calum Muir all netting in a superb first half performance.
Second half saw Jazz Saini net a header, with Andrew Cox scoring but the goal of the game belonging to young Gerry with a great chip from 25yards plus.

KHALSA SCORE A HATFUL TO CONTINUE PREPARATIONS FOR NEW SEASON

Khalsa continued there pre-season with a resounding 8-0 win over KPR.
Captain for the day Danny Spencer headed home in the first minute followed by two more headed goals by Sorrel Carr and Dean Clark with Dean Clark also latching onto a longball to net his second of the day.
Striker David Sheridan produced many key moments without getting a reward for his hardwork with a goal although assisting on three of the goals in the first half.
In the second half with a near different side Andy Noble on his first pre-season run-out netted a double with Tony Walker also getting two the first a net volley from a Victor Carvalho cross.

DEANO'S DOUBLE NOT ENOUGH AS KHALSA DRAW IN LATEST FRIENDLY

Khalsa enjoyed there second workout as pre-season takes shape with a 3-3 draw with Corby United.
Dean Clark headed home from a Tony Walker corner to put Khalsa in front before, Greg Taylor hammered home from 20 yards with a left foot strike.
Corby pulled one back to go in the break at 2-1 down.
Dean Clark then latched onto a Stephen Millar flick on to round the keeper to make it 3-1 though Corby got two late goals to level the scoring, it was still a good workout for the boys as we get closer to match sharpness.

First Half Team:- Everitt, Buchannan, McCluckie, Spencer, Bradley, Wilson, Clark, Malone, Watson, Walker, Taylor.

Khalsa warmed up for the new season against a well organised Desborough side to finally lose 5-2 despite being two nil up.
Tony Walker striking home a volley from a well executed corner and Calum Muir with a neat finish after racing clear.
Khalsa all in all used 22 players in there first pre-season game as they go about preparing for the new season.
Team 1st Half:- Murray, Ware, Carr (c), Mccluckie, Caine, Gerry, Malone, Clark, Muir, Watson, Walker.
