PUNJAB EDGED OUT AS WOOTON WIN

Punjab were narrowly beaten by Wooton St George who cemented third spot in the league.
Wooton took the lead when a deflected strike gave them a 1-0 lead at the break.
Punjab deservedly got level when Michael Logue arrived in the box to cool place the ball into the left corner for 1-1.
Wooton went back in front at a crucial stage just as Punjab were playing some good football when there striker smashed home a thunderous free kick for 1-2.
Wooton then netted in the 88th minute for 3-1 but Punjab had the last say when Michael Chong raced clear to cooly slot home for 3-2.

TEAM NEWS FOR WOOTON ST GEORGE CLASH

Punjab will finish the season with a home game versus Wooton St George.
Wooton are looking to finish third and hopefully get into the Premier Divison whilst Punjab will be looking to finish 6th in the table with a victory.
Team News sees Gary Park & Bethel Ofoshune both rated as 50-50 for the clash however Julian Millington, Gary Wilson, Shaun Waite and Bruce Calder all pushing for a starting spot.
Squad:- Singh, Calder, Waite, Walker, Spencer, Saini(c), Ofoshune, Green, Wilson, Logue, Gasson, Carvalho, Ablewski, Park, Millington, Chong, Pink, Oakley.
Players and Officials to meet at CTC at 1:30pm

SPURNED CHANCES AS PUNJAB AND WELFORD ENDS IN DRAW

Punjab and Welford Victoria shared the points in a fairly even contest with both teams dominating a half each.
Welford being the dominating side in the first half with the Punjab crossbar being hit on four occassions.
The second half saw Punjab come out with a renewed approach and Welford being on the back foot.
Winger Gary Wilson missing a hatful of chances and Michael Chong's acrobatic overhead kick the other chance of the half.
All in all a point a piece the fair result.
