KHALSA FAIL TO PUT MILTON RESERVES TO THE SWORD

FC Khalsa Reserves entertained Milton Reserves and came up short after missing a flurry of opportunities.
Khalsa started the match with real fire in there belly after having lost there last game and they looked like they might get an early breakthrough, but missed a handful of chances with Victor Carvalho going close and then Geordie forcing the keeper into another sharp save from the rebound.
Shortly after Geordie latched onto a pass after Victor Carvalho showed a little bit of magic down the wing and crossed for Geordie but he couldn't get his shot off quick enough and the keeper was forced into another save. Khalsa were playing some great stuff with Dean King, Paul Britton and Craig Loughran bossing the central midfield area and it nearly paid off after a Craig Loughran shot hit the bar.
Although Khalsa had all of the possession, Milton did have a few chances of there own but were denied by an inspired Dave Singh who was forced to play in goals for the day.
Into the second half and Khalsa kept up with relentless attack and were denied a goal after Dean King was caught offside before lobbing the keeper. The chances kept on coming for Khalsa and Jerry Burns hit a sweet left footed shot which went narrowly wide and Paul Britton had a few efforts from range but they never really troubled the keeper.
Victor Carvalho had the best chance of the game when he was one-on-one with the Milton keeper and tried to go around the keeper only to run the ball out of play. Then in the dying seconds Victor Carvalho latched onto a through pass from Dean King only to be caught by the defender as he looked to get his shot off.A great performance from the lads but lacked clinical finishing.
