CHENECKS SHOCK KHALSA WITH UNLIKELY VICTORY

Khalsa Reserves 2 O.N Chenecks 3
Victor Carvalho
Mark Watson

HT 2-2

Khalsa reserves were shocked at home after being defeated 3-2 at home to O.N Chennecks.
Khalsa never really started the game and against the run of play, they took the lead after V. Carvalho slotted the ball home. However it never really kick started anything from the home team and O.N Chennecks drew level shortly after.
Chennecks then took the lead to make it 2-1 to the visitors and it seemed as though the game may be won with Khalsa still failing to wake up.But after a nice little piece of possession, they gradually started getting into the game and were rewarded when Mark Watson (Geordie) managed to poke home the ball after a scramble in the box to draw the side’s level.
Khalsa seemed to be doing more in the 2nd half but couldn’t make any of the chances pay, and were then dealt with a blow when captain Dean King was forced off due to injury.
After this, O.N Chennecks then took the initiative and then took the lead to make it 3-2.
The Khalsa heads went down and this time the boys couldn’t manage to raise there game and were dealt there first defeat of the season season.Poor game all-round from the home team and fully deserved the defeat. A lot of improvement is needed to kick start this team in the coming weeks.

Team:- Murray, Taylor, Park, McCabe, Bradley, Burke, Britton, King (c), Ofoshune, Carvalho, Watson.
Khalsa Man Of The Match:- Gary Park - Composed performance
