NOBLE RESCUES WORTHY POINT FOR KHALSA

Khalsa 1 Queen Eleanor 1
Andrew Noble

HT 0-1
Khalsa were dealt a blow prior to kick off with last weeks goalscorer Andrew Cox missing out after failing a fitness test on his ankle.
However for the second week in a row Khalsa bounced back from a goal down to take at least a worthy point over Division One champions from last year Queen Eleanor.
Khalsa had plenty of early chances with Noble, Muir and Clarke all going close.
Against the run of play Queen Eleanor took the lead when a corner was converted by there towering centre half.
Queen Eleanor then struck a post as well in the closing stages of the half.
Khalsa with a renewed approach came out in the second half with Muir being denied a goal and other chances going begging.
It looked like it wasn't going to be there day until Sub Victor Carvalho stepped off the bench to latch onto a long ball that he clipped over the keeper and giving the perfect tap-in for Andrew Noble to score a well deserved equaliser for Khalsa.

Team:- Everitt, Carr(c), Lindsay, Saini, Spencer, Sheridan, Malone, Noble, Muir, Clark, Walker Subs:- Miller for Clark 65 minutes: Carvalho for Sheridan 75 minutes subs not used Bradley, Mann & Park)
Khalsa Man Of The Match:- David Lindsay - Solid performance at Centre Half and then Anchorman
