QUICKFIRE GRETTON PUT PUNJAB TO THE SWORD

Gretton shocked Punjab with two goals in the first 5 minutes of the game to set up a platform for a great win.

This after Punjab missed a great chance inside 40 seconds when Hassan Mumin had a good effort saved by the keepers legs.

Gretton went up and converted two corners with goals by former Punjab frontman Dave Harding and Lee Wildman for 0-2.
Punjab pulled one back with Warren Barry slamming one home after some good work by Ahmet Huseyin for 1-2 this being this 3rd goal in the last 3 games.
Gretton via the impressive Aaron Maclindon scored the 3rd from a good counter attack for 1-3.
Lee Wildman got a second before Julian Millington made it 2-4 before Chilton made it 2-5 with a long ranger.

Hassan Mumin scored a good goal after his initially chip was saved he followed up with a very composed volley for 3-5 before Aaron Macilindon scored again with Punjab pushing to get back into the game.
Although a bad day at the office Punjab created plenty of chances but were done by some excellent movement and Gretton fully deserved there victory.
Team:- Bhandal, Huseyin, Saini, Hetherington(p)(c), Calder, Millington, Bright, Park, Barry, Cox, Mumin (subs:- Birk for Calder 45mins; Carvalho for Huseyin 60 mins; Ofoshene for Hetherington 80 mins).

Very average first half though I thought more than good enough to nick a point in the second with numerous chances created...

Sloppy in possession in the finally third and put the defence in extreme pressure...

Too many wrong options taken when players better placed to finish off and not picked out...

This side is good enough still to bounce back and show its true colours against Burton...
