KEY REFEREE DECISIONS COST PUNJAB IN TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH

Punjab United 1 Queen Eleanor 4
Aston Pink

HT 1-2

Punjab were denied by some terrible referee decisions as they failed to close the gap on League Leaders Queen Eleanor by going down 4-1.
It all started brightly when Aston Pink ran onto a wonderful Michael Chong ball to slot home for 1-0 on 42 minutes.
However the game turned with two big decisions when Defender Gareth Walker was adjudged to have fouled the QE striker and QE levelled.
A minute later QE went down the right wing and as the ball was attempted to be crossed the ball was blocked and the ball went out for a goal kick so we thought, Linesman Alan Green gave a Goal Kick from 5 yards away but the referee from 30yards plus gave a corner that QE scored again from.
Two late goals further added to the wounds as Punjab were caught out trying to get back into the game in the last 10 minutes.
However you cannot take anything away from Queen Eleanor who should be right up at the end of the season.
Team:- De La Huliniere, Waite, Spencer, Francis, Walker, Wilson, Sleafer, Saini, Logue, Pink, Chong. (subs Taylor for Sleafer 60 mins; Millington for Logue 65 mins; Taylor for Singh 80 mins)
