Despite some poor performances from the home teams linesman and the referee Punjab came away from Weavers with 3 valuable points to keep there promotion bid intact.

In the early exchanges it was a 50-50 tussle from both teams to gain control with Punjab going close about three times but each time the linesman flag stopping there progress.

The first main chance fell to Darren Wingrove of Weavers which produced a smart save from Bobby Bhandal to keep the game level before Punjab took control of the game.

The game was effectively over just before the break when Hassan Mumin right wing cross was met by a towering header from Gary Wilson to make it 3-0 at the break.
