Higham Town 0 Punjab United 1
Chris Bright (100th minute)
*After extra Time

After the cancellation of Punjab United's Home NFA Cup tie the game was switched to Higham Town on Friday.

Punjab now being the away side went across to Higham to match there UCL hosts in all departments.

Defensive rocks and Men of the Match

The immense and powerful centre back partnership of Ahmet Huseyin and Paul Hetherington played outstanding to keep some of Higham's attacks to a minimum.

Andrew Cox came closest to scoring when he hit the post in the first half.

The game produced two outstanding defensive units who worked tirelessly to keep each other at bay with both midfields playing prominent roles at keeping the battle at a good pace.

Punjab made two changes the first Michael Crawford for Gary Wilson and the second Simon Kent for Victor Carvalho.

Both sides missed chances in normal time with Gary Wilson missing two clear cut chances and Higham hitting the woodwork and Punjab keeper making a superb save from a point blank header.

The game went into extra time and clearly it looked like being one goal would seal the victory.

Chris Bright match winner

Punjab got the goal in the 100th minute of the game when Sub Victor Cavalho attempted cross came out to Chris Bright who chipped the keeper from 20 yards to give the visitors the lead.

Despite some late chances at both ends Punjab United held on to progress to the last 8 of the NFA Lower Junior Cup.
