Message from the Manager

I would like to wish all players and the followers of Punjab United FC a Happy New Year for 2007.

The club having not played since the 2nd December 2006 will go into this game after a 5 week lay off and determined to move up the table.

Manager Amrit Poonia added January is the most important month with 2 big league games against teams above us in the table and a last 16 NFA Lower Junior Cup tie swell as a Divisional Cup Quarter Final.

Punjab warmed up for there first fixture of 2007 against Daventry Drayton Grange with a 13 man training session.

Punjab have some notable absentees from the squad this week.
Duncan Homer,Garinder Birk,Gary Wilson and Victor Carvalho are away this weekend.
Skipper Paul Hetherington will have a late fitness test after suffering from an upset stomach.
Striker Michael Chong is in line to make his debut on his return to the club.
