Punjab's starting line up showed 3 changes to the side that beat Bective last week with Gareth Walker, Bethel Ofoshune & Michael Logue coming in for Arndre Jackson, Shaun Waite & Bruce Calder.
Punjab produced an assured performance to see of local rivals Kettering Nomads to win 3-1.
The visitors took the lead when winger Loake scored direct from a corner to give them a 0-1 lead.
This galvanised Punjab and slowly they started to play some good football and were duly rewarded when Gary Park's throw in was flicked on by Michael Logue with Michael Chong volleying home his 8th of the campaign to level the game.
Keeper Leon De la Huliniere then produced a smart save just as it looked like Nomads were going to go back in front.
Punjab came out in the second half and within two minutes were in front when Winger Victor Carvalho took a throw in down turned and crashed a brilliant left footed shot into the top left corner from 25yards plus to make it 2-1.
This pushed Punjab on with Aston Pink, Michael Chong and Gary Park all wasting opportunities.
Punjab then hit the all important 3rd when Skipper Jazz Saini won the ball and fed Michael Logue who ran in and smashed a finish into the right corner to make it 3-1.
Nomads put Punjab under pressure but the centre back pairing of Danny Spencer and Gareth Walker were immense.
Punjab deservedly took the 3 points to condemn Kettering Nomads to defeat.
A special thanks to Kettering Nomads for a fantastic contest.
Punjab United Man Of The Match:- (Gareth Walker - Towering performance from the Big Man)
